- G.B. THE ALLSTAR aka G BABY born and raised in PHOENIX, AZ and wears it on his shoulders proudly.. Growing up in the the South Phoenix area he was surrounded by the Hip-Hop culture which led him at a very young age to become part of this thing we call "THE GAME".
Sense age 14, G.B. has been writing in notepads expressing his feelings towards life, friends, family, pleasure, pain and gain.. 3 years later at the age of 17, G.B. was given a laptop with the capability to record on it. With a 20 dollar microphone and a ipod headset G.B. would take all of his equipment into his truck and record. "The padding in the seats would help the quality of the sound" G.B. quoted. Unable to afford studio time that didn't stop G.B. from writing..
1 year down the road at age 18, G.B. discovered many different ways to promote his music such as myspace, facebook, etc.. Just about a month or two later IMI SOUNDSCAPES LLC (A recording studio) heard G.B.'s music online and wanted to get projects going ASAP. IMI even offered G.B. free sessions to record just so his music could be heard by the people. After G.B. recorded a few tracks with IMI SOUNDSCAPES LLC he thought it was time to start presenting his art by doing shows at local venues. Linking up with BIG TIME ENT. he started booking shows himself just about twice a month at venues such as THE SETS, CHASERS, BIG FISH PUB & more. His fan base was growing as well as his music was progressing, into a form that was never heard before with the combination of harmonizing, street flow, and an original style of rhythm..
Currently at the age of 20, G.B. is in a Hip-Hop group called "STAKSQUAD" which is made of himself, his cousin "JAYO" and a close friend "XTACY" who is currently locked up. STAKSQUAD has opened for acts such as TWISTA, BIZZY BONE, WILLY NORTHPOLE, AND MORE! Not to mention their two hottest singles "BLADES CHOPPIN'" & "BLADES CHOPPIN' PT. 2" playing on the air with STREETZ96.5 in NY & NJ. Also doing live interviews with online radio stations, the music of G.B. continues to grow. He plans on droppping a mixtape "THE PRE GAME" & an album "ALL-STAR GAME" in the year of 2010, so keep your ears tuned in and be on the lookout for G.B.'s latest news.
